The Role | The Retail Assistant plays a key role on the shop floor, responsible for delivering a strong customer experience while supporting daily sales performance.

This is a hands-on role focused on customer engagement, product knowledge and consistent execution of retail standards.

Retail Assistants are expected to contribute directly to conversion, ATV and overall store performance, while maintaining a well-presented and organised store environment.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Experience & Sales
- Engage customers confidently, initiating conversations and building rapport
- Deliver a high standard of customer service in line with Earl of East expectations
- Support daily sales performance through strong product knowledge and active selling
- Contribute to conversion and average transaction value (ATV) on shift
- Build customer confidence in products that require explanation or storytelling

Store Standards & Operations
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented store at all times
- Ensure merchandising standards are upheld across all product categories
- Support stock management, replenishment and general store organisation
- Follow all company processes and operational standards consistently

Ways of Working

The Role | The Store Supervisor plays a key role in supporting store performance, leading the team on shift, and maintaining high standards across the shop floor.

This is a hands-on leadership role focused on driving sales, delivering a strong customer experience, and ensuring the team operates with consistency and discipline.

Store Supervisors are responsible for delivering results on shift, balancing pace, service and commercial awareness.

Key Responsibilities

Shop Floor Leadership & Sales
- Lead by example on the shop floor, delivering a confident and consistent customer experience
- Deliver daily and weekly sales targets while leading the team on shift
- Maintain strong awareness of conversion, ATV and revenue performance throughout the day
- Drive team engagement on the floor, particularly during peak trading hours (1–4pm)
- Support the team in building baskets and increasing average transaction value
- Ensure all customers are approached and supported appropriately

Team Support & Development
- Support and supervise team members on shift, ensuring standards are upheld
- Provide on-the-floor coaching to improve product knowledge and selling confidence
- Help set the team up for success at the start of each shift (targets, focus, priorities)
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Maintain a positive, focused and accountable working environment

Store Operations & Standards
- Ensure the smooth running of the shop floor through organisation and communication
- Maintain high standards across merchandising, cleanliness and stock presentation
- Support opening and closing procedures

- Monitor stock levels and communicate replenishment needs
- Support stock checks and inventory accuracy

Performance & Accountability
- Take shared ownership of store KPIs (conversion, ATV, revenue) alongside the Store Manager
- Take ownership of conversion on shift, ensuring consistent customer engagement across the team
- Use daily performance insights to adjust approach on the floor
- Identify opportunities to improve performance and implement solutions
- Ensure clear communication and handover between shifts

- Previous experience in a retail or customer-facing sales role (minimum 1 year)

The Role | The Wholesale Sales Manager is responsible for driving wholesale revenue growth across existing and new accounts.

This is a sales-led role with clear accountability for generating new business, growing existing accounts, and maintaining an active pipeline.

Success in this role is measured by revenue performance, conversion and consistency of sales activity.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth
- Own and deliver revenue against wholesale sales targets
- Proactively generate new business through outbound outreach and lead development
- Build and maintain a strong, active sales pipeline
- Pitch Earl of East to prospective wholesale partners and convert opportunities into active accounts
- Identify and drive growth within existing accounts (range expansion, reorders, seasonal opportunities)
- Maintain consistent follow-up across all leads, enquiries and opportunities

Account Growth & Retention
- Manage key wholesale accounts with a focus on growth and repeat business
- Monitor account performance and take action to increase sell-through and order frequency
- Maintain strong commercial relationships with buyers and partners
- Ensure timely and consistent communication across all accounts

Sales Operations & Execution
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records across pipeline, accounts, pricing and orders
- Maintain full visibility across pipeline at all times, with clear status on all opportunities
- Ensure all orders are processed correctly and delivered in line with agreed timelines
- Work closely with production, logistics and finance to support smooth order fulfilment
- Follow pricing structures, margins and approval processes at all times

The Role | The Studio Production Manager is responsible for owning day-to-day candle production, ensuring output is delivered on time, to standard, and in line with production plans.

This is a hands-on leadership role with clear accountability for production targets, accuracy, team performance and process adherence.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Output
- Lead day-to-day candle production, ensuring output aligns with weekly production plans
- Ensure the smooth running of the weekly production schedule, with a minimum of 95% of targets met
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure production targets are consistently achieved
- Maintain consistent quality across pouring, finishing and packing
- Monitor output in real time and adjust workflow where needed
- Minimise production errors and material waste

Team Management & Leadership
- Supervise and support production assistants on shift
- Allocate tasks clearly and maintain pace, focus and organisation across the team
- Provide continuous support, guidance and on-the-floor training
- Ensure the team maintains productivity and consistency throughout the day

Process & Standards
- Ensure all production follows agreed SOPs and internal standards
- Identify potential bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve performance and quality
- Maintain accurate batch tracking, labelling and production records
- Uphold health & safety standards across the studio
- Keep the production space clean, organised and operationally ready

Systems & Reporting
- Ensure all finished goods are uploaded into the inventory management system with 100% accuracy
- Provide a clear end-of-day handover via the production Slack channel, including output, issues and next steps
- Maintain visibility across production progress at all times

- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment
- Confident leading teams and managing workflow
